Patients Tell Their Stories

People with obstructive sleep apnea come from all walks of life.  They are male and female, young and old.  Each patient's story is unique, but there are elements of each story common to all of us.

APNEAnet is for the patient.  This section is also "by the patient".  Included here are individual stories from patients and family members.  These true life adventures are not intended to advocate any specific course of treatment or to be an indictment of the medical profession which could not diagnose us earlier or treat us effectively.

These stories are told by the patient, for the patient, so that others can understand they are not alone, and so others can learn from the experiences that the writers have gone through.

If you feel your story is worth sharing, please email patient-stories@apneanet.org.  While we cannot guarantee to include every story we receive, we will consider all submissions.   Please remember that all submissions are subject to editing, and that submissions may be rejected.

Enough introduction -- we hope you find these anecdotes and stories both interesting and helpful.  If you wish to comment on any story or ask a question, click on the email link and your webmaster will forward them to the author.  The authors may or may not choose to reply directly or indirectly.
